Many thanks for the useful replies to the previous posting.  I managed to get a jack socket for my dead SRF700.  I have given it to my local repair man and it seems that it may need a full preamp replacement.  Whilst it does work now it crackles louder than the sound signal.  Does anyone know where I can get one.  Most of the sites I have been to don't stock them.  I guess I'm looking for one of these or even the whole wiring loom.  Or even if there is something I can replace it with.
