AlexDelores Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Hey all,Ā Ā Iāve got an issue with my Squier Jaguar.Ā Ā It had a loose jack socket and Iāve accidentally twisted the wireless while it was inside and itās broken this cable offā¦Ā Ā Iāve never touched pickups or electrics on a bass before but Iād quite like to try and fix this myself as itās a pretty cheap non gigging bass and, well I need to start somewhereā¦Ā Ā It looks like this little white cable is soldered from the jack socket to the pot thatās markedā¦Ā Ā Am I correct or have I got this completely wrong? Ā Also, would I better stripping it off the control plate or just resoldering it in sitchu?Ā Ā Thanks in advance AlexĀ Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted March 6 Posted March 6 While you're in there, your future self will thank you if you junk the existing socket and replace it with a switchcraft or pure tone one. 2 Quote
