MNY Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 Very nice. I believe Mark King has a Unicorn bass reminiscent of an Alembic.Β 1 Quote

bassmayhem Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 (edited) Christian is a very fine luthier and an over all nice guy... He built my five string British Racing Green Purist a few years ago, it was also presented in Bass of the Week at NoTreble. His choice of materials is with a very environmental approach, with cultivated or very old and long since harvested types of wood. No endangered species of wood in his instruments. All hardware is top notch, the electronics as well. The pickups are somewhat low output, butΒ but with the great advantage that they have a very wide tonal palette and dynamics. Hotter pickups have a narrower tonal range; compare a Les Paul and a Stratocaster. My bass answers to every nuance of touch and playing, the same with your beauty? Β The soft non glossy appearance is just gorgeous. What is the string spacing? I really like your bass, but unfortunately it is out of my economic reach right now. Β Good luck with the sale! foxtrott Posted June 9, 2024 Author Posted June 9, 2024 Yes, I can confirm all that very well. Β Christian is very careful in his choice of wood. The wood is stored for decades before it is used. Β The hardware, the self-developed electronics and pickups are of very high quality and perfectly matched, so that the nuances of fingerstyle, tapping, slapping and flageolet playing are represented in the best possible way in the sound. The string spacing at the bridge is 18 mm, which in my opinion is ideal for 6 strings.Β Β Β 1 Quote

foxtrott Posted June 9, 2024 Author Posted June 9, 2024 I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.Β Quote
