Selected woods, which are prepared for use over a long period of time and finished by hand. All components are of the highest quality. Specs: - 6 strings, 34" scale length - Mahogany body - Figured Ovangkol top - Maple / Amaranth neck - Maccassar fingerboard - Unicornbass Custom Single Coils - True Passive Electronic - Weight only 4.1 kg - Built 2020 / 2021 The playability and ergonomics are first class, string action is super flat without the strings buzzing. The sound is cultivated and homogeneous across the entire fingerboard and very present and almost three-dimensional in the band context and in the mix. A bass of superlatives. The condition of the bass is flawless except for a small spot on the body "edge", which is barely noticeable or only noticeable in the right light and with a close look (see explicit picture). Nevertheless, it should be mentioned here and already taken into account in the price. He built my five string British Racing Green Purist a few years ago, it was also presented in Bass of the Week at NoTreble. His choice of materials is with a very environmental approach, with cultivated or very old and long since harvested types of wood. No endangered species of wood in his instruments. All hardware is top notch, the electronics as well. The pickups are somewhat low output, but but with the great advantage that they have a very wide tonal palette and dynamics. Hotter pickups have a narrower tonal range; compare eh Les Paul and a Stratocaster. My bass answers to every nuance of touch and playing, the same with your beauty? The soft non glossy appearance is just gorgeous. What is the string spacing? I really like your bass, but unfortunately it is out of my economic reach right now. The hardware, the self-developed electronics and pickups are of very high quality and perfectly matched, so that the nuances of fingerstyle, tapping, slapping and flageolet playing are represented in the best possible way in the sound.
