For sale: Fender Player series Mexican made 4 string right handed 2021 Precision bass in lovely Polar White / maple neck / tort plate colour combo.

A real nice relatively light weight of 3.7Kg / 8.2lbs, measured several times with digital luggage scales. Very comfy, light & well balanced on strap or lap. For those who like neck measurements, the neck has a front to back thickness of 0.800” at the 1st fret, and 0.911” at the 12th fret, measured with digital calipers. So fairly slim and fast playing on the lovely satin urethane finished neck back (gloss maple fingerboard). I actually really like this bass so it’s a semi reluctant sale, but as nice as this is, I’m not really a white bass guy, so am keeping my black Player P instead.

Everything is stock apart from the tort plate, which I think is non Fender. It is very nice though. I don’t have the stock plate anymore. Has 45-105 RS66LDN Roto nickel round strings with lots of life left in them. Truss rod adjustment at headstock, rod turns as it should, set up with a nice medium/low action.

2021 model with Fender 75th anniversary logo on back of headstock which is a nice touch. As it’s fairly new, it’s in generally mint condition without even the usual scratches on the back. Unfortunately there is a paint chip where I very briefly tried a Jazz neck on it. I always thought P & J necks were interchangeable, but as careful as I was, a bit of white paint flew out as I tried to get the J neck into the pocket. I should know to leave these things to the experts! So, the area with no paint is about 1cm x 0.5cm, but the total area of the imperfection is about 2cm long. This is fortunately on the underside of the neck pocket, so it obviously can’t be seen whilst playing. Perhaps this will suit someone who is paranoid about owning a mint bass, knowing there is already a ding on it anyway. Who knows, the buyer could even add one of their own, run it through a hedge or do their own custom roadwear! So, it’s mint other than that one issue.
