Double Bass Hard Foam Case - On Hold - *SOLD* £50 Bushey, Herts.

I bought this a few days ago, from Leon C2 of this very parish, who was selling it because of its size, and after realizing I need to take the seats out of my car (as they don't fold flat), that it's a touch too big for my teachers (small) studio door, and has only an inch of clearance to my living room ceiling, I think it was a mistake.

 

It's a real pity, as it's in excellent condition, rivets and stitching all as it should be, interior in great nick, with a bow clip, and handy pockets and wheels. Also, while it's a foam case, and pretty light with it, it has some kind of hard membrane, which makes it feel really solid and protective. It fits my 5 string Strunal no problem, and I can't imagine a 3/4 bass it wouldn't fit. It might even handle a 7/8ths size.

 

Interior measurements are - 

 

Lower bout at widest - 66cm

Upper bout at widest - 55cm

Length (not including endpin fitting) - 196cm

Back of bass to highest point of bridge - 51cm (tricky one to measure!)

 

I thought it was a ridiculous bargain at the £50 I paid, and that's the bargain I'm passing on. If your environment is more suitable than mine, it's a great catch.
