I'm looking for a nice replacement tortoiseshell pickguard for my Fender Am DLX Jazz 5, and can't find anywhere online in the UK that stock them. The Fender site acknowledges the existence of the official "part", but the only place I can see that has em is here - [url="http://www.wdmusic.com/pickguard_jbad5_300.html"]http://www.wdmusic.com/pickguard_jbad5_300.html[/url] - this place seems to have them all! A friend of mine did it this way, I think he paid around £30 or £40 for it though. I'm sure someone here could recommend a cheaper alternative. I'd be interested in what anyone else can put forward as I'm thinking of getting a replacement an can only think of eBay for online sale. cockbongo Posted April 16, 2009 Author Share Posted April 16, 2009 Well, WD in the UK don't sell any 5 string pickguards at all, and neither do allparts.uk, so I guess it'll have to be a custom one from Aurora. Seems odd, bearing in mind these are Fenders. I'll pop up to a couple of music shops in town and see if they can order one in from Fender themselves.
