Roblevybass Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 (edited) Hi, folks. Selling this beauty to make way for a new purchase. I bought it three years ago used from the Bass Gallery in London. Serial number is M4106. It has the customary modern scooped Sadowsky sound, but with the added advantage of the vintage tone control. The previous owner inflicted some buckle rash, and it has a few dings and minor scratches, but....it plays, looks and sounds great! I'm based in London. I could ship it at buyer's expense, but would prefer to deliver it personally in, (or reasonably close to) London. Edited March 29, 2022 by Roblevybass 5 Quote
Terry M. Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 (edited) I may have tried this exact bass at The Gallery. Does this model have true single-coil or hum-cancelling pickups please? Also do you know the weight? Seems to be a 2010 model according to the Sadowsky website serial listing. Regards. Terry. Edited March 24, 2022 by Terry M. Quote
Roblevybass Posted March 24, 2022 Author Posted March 24, 2022 I believe it was built in 2005. The weight is 8lb 5oz. I'm afraid I don't know whether the pickups are single-coil or hum-cancelling. I will try and check with Sadowsky.... Quote
Terry M. Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Ok cool. I already have hum-cancelling pick ups in my Fender American Elite Jazz V is why I ask. Sorry if I got the year wrong but I was just going by this: Quote
Roblevybass Posted March 25, 2022 Author Posted March 25, 2022 The Sadowsky web-site has M4106 listed as 2005. Quote
Roblevybass Posted March 25, 2022 Author Posted March 25, 2022 Oh, sorry, please ignore the last message. I just checked again, and it was built in 2010. You were right all along, Terry! Quote
Roblevybass Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Any interest, folks? I'm open to sensible offers, and may consider shipping at buyer's expense. 1 Quote
Roblevybass Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 Still available, if anyone fancies making me an offer... Quote
Roblevybass Posted November 25, 2022 Author Posted November 25, 2022 The bass is in London N3, but I'm willing to travel within 100 miles, if there's any interest.... Quote
Terry M. Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 Hi there again. I'm just curious to see if you ever sold your Sadowsky. Quote
Roblevybass Posted June 3, 2024 Author Posted June 3, 2024 Hi, Terry. I haven't sold it....but the problem is I'm currently enjoying playing it too much to want to sell it! I love the VTC....gives a vintage flavour, while still retaining the active Sadowsky sound. Maybe I should withdraw the original post... Quote
Terry M. Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Hi Rob. I can't say I blame you in all honesty. Amazing creations they are ☺️ Quote
