"Upgrading" for the sake of it.

I'm weird when it comes to this. With my electric guitars, I've always had a strong urge to tinker and make modifications and upgrades, like better tuners, graphite nuts, different pickups, additional switching options, better electronics. With my basses though, I'm somehow more inclined to take certain imperfections for granted and leave them as-is. The only exception is my Fender Jazz, on which I've replaced the bridge, tuners and pots.
