Fender Precision which is an original 1977 fretless sunburst but also has a fretted Jazz neck. The bass is all original sounds fantastic and plays really well. I've always used flat-wound strings on it and played it in both fretted and fretless. I don't know if the Jazz neck is an original fender, I'm  player not a collector.

It's all in great condition with only minor marks. It comes with a Hiscox moulded hard case.

Great bass, very versatile.

I would consider a trade with some cash from me for a Custom Shop Jazz. I would also reduce the price if you only want one of the necks?

Weight - 4.5kg

Additional Information - One the very helpful Basschat community has just pointed out that the neck has the stamp from Jose Serna, the longest tenured employee at Fender with 48 years working there. If you want a hand crafted neck he's apparently the man to make it. That's why it plays so well! Please see the link.

If it doesn’t sell at this price within 5days I’m keeping it. Now priced without the fretted neck.

I might have been interested in this if I didn’t already have one, also fretless! The serial number on mine is S749969 which is very close to yours. The information about the neck is really interesting and it prompted me to check; mine is also stamped J. Serna. So thanks to you and the other BCer for that nugget of information.

It’s a good price with both necks and I hope the original neck stays with bass.

Thanks for your comment, it’s Dutchwife we’ve both got to thanks for the neck information. You’re right the fretless neck should stay with the bass.

It’s a great combination hopefully someone will take the lot or should I just hang on to it 🤔

 Thanks
