Ok so I did these soundclips yonks ago, and they probably aren't as accurate as the sounds I've got now, but they give you a basic idea

It's an envelope filter, rather than an auto-wah, so I couldn't really say how "slow" it goes.

Maybe he meant the attack rate. Some filters can be set for a slow attack so that they go 'woooooomp!' rather than 'womp!'.

In which case, the AF-9 has no such control. It's got sliders for Sensitivity (how easily the filter triggers) and peak (how much it sweeps) and then a few swtiches for LP,BP and HP filters, Hi or Low range, and Up or Down filter sweeps.
