Old Ashdown Heads

Hey folks,

I've been musing over selling my old Ashdown ABM 500 but I have no idea what to ask for it!

It's one of the original EVO's which I've owned for around 7 or 8 years now, it's an amazing sounding amp that's never let me down, but I'm thinking of getting something a bit smaller.

Basically it seems to be getting heavier and I'm getting wussier with age!

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, I didn't want to put it in the for sale section as I haven't convinced myself to sell it yet, but if anyone has any idea of it's worth then please let me know...

Many thanks!

I think they're generally held in higher regard than the new models, as they were all built in the UK back in the days when Ashdown had seemingly better quality control.

As far as worth is concerned - they will probably go for less on eBay due to being older, but I'd imagine that any bass player in the know would give you a good price for it!

you won't get as much for it now as you would've 12 months ago!ive seen them go for £300 ish on the bay, they sell as well as a newish one, probably because it will have made in england on the back!hang on to it unless you need the cash.
