I'm a complete novice, but I think I have most, if not all, your classical / trad music for solo ukulele (except the 5ths one)! I even bought an extra copy of your 20 Easy Classical Uke Pieces for Kids for Kinghorn Community Library as they have 4 ukes for lending out but no ukulele music. Now I have just discovered the joys of a Bass Ukulele, which is why I'm on here, and what do I find but you're here too! Your Bass Guitar book is really calling me (aspirational music), but I can't find music samples to convince me that there's enough in there that is played below the 17th (better still 13th) fret to justify my getting it. I've listened to the sound files but I'm that much of a tyro that I can't judge it by ear. I'd be very grateful if you were to enlighten me please: do many of the pieces go above the 16th fret? Cheers! Quote
Rob MacKillop Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Sorry, folks. I've been ill for over year...almost shuffled off the old coil...but am back playing again, but nowhere near the level I used to. I'm actually using this book and one by John Patitucci to get my fingers moving again. Mel Bay tell me the book has sold very well, which is gratifying. It's amusing to be learning from my own books! @Natasha Glad to know my books have helped you! As for your question: Almost all the book is below the 12th fret, with just a few of the more modern pieces venturing higher. Only one, I think, goes above the 17th fret. There's plenty there to keep you occupied. Edited 2 hours ago by Rob MacKillop Spelling! 3 1 Quote

Geek99 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hopefully @Natasha will return, IMHO we need more ladies active on the site. we have about 5000 more than talkbass though so a thumbs-up on equality. We need to catch up on pickup trucks though … Quote
