totorbass
The[s] top [/s]body looks like lacewood to me, not quilted maple IMO. Am I wrong? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lacewood#/media/File:Lacewood.jpg Do you ship to EU, btw? Edited October 15, 2017 by totorbass
ElijahBass
It does kind of look like lacewood but the info from Ken Smith says its quilted maple. I'll take some photos in better lighting and put them up later. Send me a PM to discuss EU shipping Edited October 16, 2017 by ElijahBass
JensWest
That's most likely a lacewood body. And a pau ferro fretboard. Write and ask Ken, or post on his forum. He's quick to reply.
ElijahBass
Ok. After hearing from the previous owner of this bass he had a similar issue when he bought this instrument. The error occurred when The Bass Centre supplied the wrong tag with this bass. He contacted Ken and the bass is indeed lacewood. In my correspondence with Ken , I made the error of using the serial number on the tag also. I’ll attach pictures to show the tags supplied by Bass Centre. Somewhere out there , someone has a similar bass in maple with a tag that says Lacewood 🙈. Would be cool if said person was to see this
