Orange Bass Terror 500w in flightcase with spare ECC81's

This has served me well for a number of years but as my gigging band has broken up, I'm looking to replace both my amps with something that can do home rehearsals, small gigs, and the loud stuff too. This doesn't do the quiet stuff so well as it's so valvey in nature, it goes from 0 to LOUD in the smallest of tweaks!

I've loved every minute of owning this amp and if it wasn't for the fact I may not be gigging again for the foreseeable I wouldn't consider selling.

This is an earlier model so the DI does run hot, especially with the ECC83's, however I use a preamp pedal with DI out level so it's got on fine with that in the signal path. Not so much an issue with the ECC81's. I did have a DI gain reducer which worked really well, but I don't know where I put it!

Padded 'man-bag' is long gone after the strap broke, so I had a flight case made up by Castle Cases which are currently £108 on their website here: http://www.castlecases.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=26_100&product_id=838 This is a great bit of kit, very heavy duty and solid. I did have to slightly cut away the front inside of the insulation as it was a little too tight a fit and it threatened to rip off the knobs. It now fits fine. See pics!

The cheap Chinese valves are a little muddy in nature, (although I still have them) so I have been between two alternative sets since I've had the amp, some EHX ECC83's and some vintage Phillips ECC81's. The EHX cost around £12 a valve and are currently fitted to the amp. They are a big upgrade over the standard valves- glassier, grindier, with more punch and attack. The Phillips are lower gain so help the hot DI issue; a lot of folks prefer ECC81's in these amps and I did for a long time, so I am including them in the sale so you can decide for yourself. They are dead stock valves and cost me around £30 from the basschat market place. They don't have the punch or aggressive tone of the EHX but are a richer sounding, more vintage tone.

Trades- I'm open to either a straight swap or cash my way trade against mini heads like Little Marks, GB streamliners, that kind of thing. Need to be loud enough to drive an 8ohm 2x12 (which this does easily) at gigging levels, but also a little more friendly for home rehearsals!

£350 posted to UK, which is a bargain.

That looks like a bit of a bargain.
If i hadn't just bought a Fender Deluxe Precision and Orange OBC115 cab i might have sneaked this past the wife but she's got an eye on my spending at the moment.

At that price with flightcase and delivered its a fantastic buy so have a wee BUMP
