I have a few basses, at the moment they're all on Hercules stands.

Can anyone recommend a really good wall hanger that I can have put up for me please.

I was looking at this one, but the maximum weight is only about 3lbs more than my heaviest bass, which is my beloved Sei, I'd hate it if it fell off or something.

Just a quick note: If your neck is made from some of the softer woods (maple being one example) I'd be circumspect about hanging it by the headstock without something to support the body. I know it's a common practice to hang stuff on walls, but I found it really f***ed up my setup when I used to hang my MM. If you think of the physics of all the weight of the body pulling on the thinnest bit of the neck, it may start doin untoward things to your bass.

Merely a heads up, is all!

The Hercules work well.

My opinion on the 'the maximum weight is only 3lbs more than my Sei' is as follows....

The component that is most likely to fail is the screws fixing to the wall, rather than the hanger itself. I'd always disregard any fixings they provide you with and get down to B&Q. If you use some heavy duty fixings (especially if you have hollow plasterboard walls) and upgrade the screws to some of a decent length and thickness, then you will be fine.

of course YMMV, but mine wasn't, now I don't hang it and I haven't needed to tweek the setup (except for after string changes) for about a year :) Merely something to consider, also it can't fall any further if it's sat in a stand on the floor!

I like hangers with 4, rather than 3 bolts into the wall, and with a shorter arm ( so electric-specific, no good for acoustic instruments ). Can't find them now but they're usually on eBay. Absolutely. The screws that are supplied are useless. I use Hercules hangers and the first time I fixed it up the screws just pulled out of the wall when I hung a bass on it. They are barely long enough to penetrate the brickwork through the plaster.

I use screws that are at least 2" long and I also fill the hole I've drilled with PVA glue before putting in the rawlplug, especially if the brickwork is a bit dry and dusty, and then leave it for a couple of days to dry before hanging anything on it.
