For sale, my beloved vintage 1975 Jazz Bass!

Maple board, black body, black scratchplate. Tight neck pocket, ludicrously stable neck, punchy and powerful pickups, this is one of the good 70s Jazz Basses!

Just want to list the non-original/negative elements straightaway:

It's had a refret by the Bass Gallery in Camden. Excellent job, which has retained the vintage tint, and the bass currently has a low action with no fret buzz!

The pickups have been wax-potted by Bare Knuckle. All original aside from that though, and the BK guys tested them and reported absolutely no issues!

There's a small crack just under the E tuner (visible in photos). This has been professionally glued at some point though, and it's very solid and will not cause any problems!

It's a bit heavy at 12lbs/5.4kg
Aside from that, it's all original and sounds incredible!!

I've removed the original metalwork/ashtrays and thumbrest, but these are included. I will also include an excellent condition Hiscox hardcase!

I'm looking for £1650 for this beauty, which will include fully insured UK shipping. Alternatively, I'm happy for anyone to collect from me in North-West/Central London, in which case I'll let it go for £1600!

Absolutely NO TRADES, thanks. I've bought something expensive, so need to recoup some cash!

Any questions, let me know

Looks beautiful. It's also the first bass I've ever seen pictured in a bathroom!

Thank you! Yeah, the bathroom was the only place I could get good lighting...If you look closely you'll see a reflection of me in a similarly beautiful vest too! ;)

Mad price for a vintage Jazz Bass. I'm very, very surprised this isn't sold mate.

Thanks mate! Yeah, I know, this is a bargain folks!

I know it may be a bit on the heavier side for some, but you'll forget all about that when you hear and play it! I did ;-)
