The Amp is about 35 years old. The Tolex has some dings and dongs, but the amps is in a fully functional state.

'Iconic' doesn't do it justice, this is just lovely.

I guess the lightweight revolution killed off the SS pre/Tube power combination, but it works so well. In fact you get far more 'girth', 'grunt', 'heft' or whatever you want to call it from that arrangement than from Tube pre/SS power (I used to run SS pres through an Ampeg SVT-300 power amp and trust me, you would never have guess the pre wasn't all tube also). Beautiful amp, wish I could justify it, but two Ampeg all tube rigs are all any man needs (apparently)
