mr_russ Posted July 5, 2007 Share Posted July 5, 2007 (edited) This is one hell of a bass- This is a sunburst one and has had the bridge replaced with a 70's reissue bridge- sounds and feels excellent. REDUCED TO £450 passive mode is excellent as is active mode- volume between the two is very close so it's easy to flick the switch over if you want to kick in a bit of a bass boost etc- when used carefully the preamp is brilliant. The bass is light and comfy and has a great neck, better than the Geddy in my opinion. Cheers! It's a great bass but I find I use it in passive mode all the time anyways- I've just this sec bought a secondhand geddy lee jazz from Gak, more what I was after really. mr_russ Posted July 30, 2007 Author Share Posted July 30, 2007 I've just weighed this bass after being asked by someone- It's just below 8lbs and therefore a very light example- I've read that most of these tend to be pretty heavy, around 10-12lbs. God I hate imperial - I long for the day we make a proper switch over It also has a set of the following pickups in- a BIG improvement over the originals- highly noticable on the bridge pu which is now much fuller. The whole sound is a slightly beefier version of the originals.
