For sale is my Warwick Bolt On 5 String bass 1996 in nearmint condition with an early bubinga body. It has the sought after jet black i believe wenge neck with original chrome hardware with the west germany logo on the tuners.
Bass is in near mint condition with only one slight dink on the face between the controls.
Body has been frequently waxed and has just had new strings fitted. No fretware at all with a superb low action and has the original brass just nut for added flexability.

It is currently strung E A D G C but will include a brand new set of strings inc low b if you wish to revert back. The action has not required any adjustment at all.

Reluctant sale but have just purchased an Overwater 6 string after being seduced by the sound with the option of high C string so she has to go to fund purchase.

Lovely looking bass mate! But I think that may be a bubinga body (it looks like bubinga from the colouring, walnut is somewhat lighter and browner), could be wrong! However, it is certainly a wenge (rather than ovangkol) neck.

GLWTS! :)

Hi kev

just checked on the history of warwick web page, it looks as if you are correct, from 1995 to 1997 they switched to a bubinga body. Also it seemse that this 1995 to 1997 period is now becoming a sort after period .
