Genz-Benz STL 9.0 with case - Spares or repairs
£50

This unit was in great shape until a slightly clueless stage tech flipped the voltage switch on the back to 115v while it was drawing 230v from the mains, blowing up the power module. Insurance covered it and it's been replaced. I could send it off for fixing then sell it on but I can't be bothered so it's here for anyone who wants it. £50 ONO.

I've spoken to a Genz-Benz tech (Aged Horse on Talkbass) who knows what he's talking about (thread here: http://www.talkbass..../#post-15907192) and he says it's fixable. Another thread where someone did the exact same thing and found out it'd cost £218 to fix (in 2012) is here: http://basschat.co.u...z-benz-90-head/

You'd just need to send it to Fender and they'll swap out the power module and test the other bits to make sure it's all good, and bingo, you've got a Stl 9.0 for a steal.

Comes with a case but I've re-assigned the kettle lead and speakon cable to my new head.

You'd need to cover shipping, obviously.

Many thanks,
Dan

Externally, it looks in remarkable condition, considering it's been shoed a couple of feet up the rectal passage of said hapless stage tech - or did you take the mistake with considerably better grace than I would have done? :D
