Davey.C Posted May 12, 2014 Share Posted May 12, 2014 Can anybody help me? I am trying to reassemble an Aria Pro Cardinal bass. CBS-380 model. But there is a component missing. I am not sure if is the volume or tone pot I need to replace. If anyone has one of these basses, a photo of the wiring would help me greatly in getting my instrument back in a working condition. Matt P Posted May 13, 2014 Share Posted May 13, 2014 i've got a csb 300 at home (the defretted one that Benebass mentioned in the other thread), i could have a check of the electrics when i get in tonight, i think it's probably the same as the RSB that Bloodaxe has shown above. If this works, there should be a photo or link below of the control cavity, pickup wire coming in from left (black cable) onto volume control and the wiring for the jack socket goes off to the far right. I'm gently compiling a set of schematics for Arias as & when 'factory stock' pics (like yours) turf up. So far I have schematics for RSB-1, RSB Deluxe-5, RSB-800 (Rev-Sound), SB-900 (Series 1), SB-1000 (S1), & my passive SB-1000 mod. I suspect that the RSB-1 schematic will apply to most of the single pickup models, so it'd be useful to have a list of basses it applies to on it as well. Pete. [/quote] Hi pete, i no longer have my CSB450, despite my profile pic, sold it a few months bsck and got another 380. From memory though when i cleaned it up, the pots and wiring were exactly the same. The pickup is a slightly different model though and i preferred the one on the 380. The CSB 300 + 380 + CSB Deluxe have (according to the catalogues) the MB-IV pickup which I find is higher output and gives a really great grunt, roll back 1/3 for pBass tone, full up for punky aggression. The CSB 450 + Black and Golds have the MB-III as far as I can tell which is smoother tone and I think better for pop, soft rock, blues. I prefer the IV to the III slightly. I had a TSB 350, which also has the MB-III and it was great, on the lookout for another, but I didn't really like the TSB 550 for some reason. Supposedly the same pickup but didn't have the punch of the 350. I will take one out tonight if I get a chance and post a picture. This pickup has started to die, the D and G atrings becoming slightly weak, i have put it back in other way round and see if that helps, might need to get it rewound.
