Brass Scratchplate?

If you connect/bolt/screw your jack socket to it - it will be earthed :happy: if the jack is not on the scratch plate - run a wire from under the jack socket to under a pot, clamped by the fixing nuts/washers.#

You'll be needing some Brasso to keep it shiny :)

If you're using a metal jack socket then it'll earth the scratchplate at the same time (the threaded 'tube' is 'earth' anyway).

If you're going to do that then I'd recommend using a dap of thread lock on the socket before doing the nut up - after all, if it shakes loose then you've got no earth.
