Final drop or will keep it as a spare spare!

Trades - Japanese Squier Precision (maybe Jazz), maybe others, Eden 4x10 500w upwards 4ohm cab, maybe an iPad.

Here's my very hard to find Redsub BT5110 combo in really good condition. I'm only selling it as I have the Ibanez Promethean version coming and I already have the Ibanez 300w version as a backup. It runs stand alone at 250w and 500w with an extension cab. The head is detachable so if there's already a bass cab at a gig or rehearsal you wont have much to carry!

Its only been gigged and rehearsed a couple of times and otherwise has lived at home as a practice amp. I originally bought this from new as faulty but when it arrived there was nothing wrong with it. The mute button was on... Which incidentally pinged off but can still be used. Eventually it did develop a small problem which turned out to be the input jack. I took the detachable head out, took the top off and pushed the connector in and it came back on good as new. I put some insulation tape over it just to be sure it didn't come loose again. Its been perfect since.

These really are an excellent piece of kit and its loud enough for me to rehearse (without an extension speaker) with 2 guitarists, singer and drummer banging out Clash songs. I've used it on its own live and it was fine as a monitor. We always use PA support so I have never had the need to push it. I have the Promethean extension speaker too and when paired they throw out a lot of volume.

I have a decent box for shipping but I would prefer pick up so the buyer can check it out first.

Cheers

Dunc

These amps are great, I've had mine for 2 years and it's never missed a beat, loud enough to stand up to a band in the rehearsal room, great for a live monitor, and the removable head means that you're laughing if there's a cab already there, or you have your favourite cab(s) in mind when you really need to bring the noise. Because of the tweeter, it sounds great as an iPod/laptop/whatever amp. Loads of EQ options. 2 button footswitch supported (mute/colour). DI out (post EQ) with ground lift. I've been ever so happy with mine, felt no need to "upgrade", and will be sad if it ever breaks.

Thanks for the +1. Your'e right, they are great little combos. Ipods etc played through them sound great too. My son has been playing music off his iphone on it and I was very impressed with how well it sounded. I dont feel the Promethean is an upgrade at all. If anything the Redsub has a warmer sound. Its just that I have the 3110 and the 10" extension already so I got the 5110 when the chance came along.
