New speaker for EBS 15?

Just wondering really.

My EBS 2000 (15" with tweeter) has a small tear in the speaker cone. Easy enough to repair, I'm assured, but I got to wondering after reading lots of cabinet build diaries. Would it be better to just replace the speaker with a totally new one? I was thinking along the lines of a 4 ohm neo around 400 watts (the current speaker is 400 watts, 4ohms).

I was totally happy with the stock sound before the tear (damned hihat stand), but now I've convinced myself there's a slight 'woofy' sound to it. How easy/difficult would it be and what would driver would suit?

Any suggestions welcome.

I would check out Neos before changing to them - OK they are light, but my preference is still with non Neos in terms of the sounds that they produce... Depends what sound you are looking for I guess. Each to their own!
