The amp is brand new as you can see , still wrapped, i will test it first before it leaves if anyone is interested in it. check the link above for full spec.
The reason this amp is new is because the previous one got damaged and it went in for repair, Ampeg decided to replace it rather than repair it ( after about 6 months waiting around ) in that time i bought a new amp and a ampeg svt pre and got used to using that hence the reason for selling the svt 8 pro. It really is a fantastic sounding amp, massive amount of power and ampeg tone. , There is one in gak ( http://www.gak.co.uk...svt-8-pro/30387 ) going for £2023
They have discontinued this model now and quite hard to get hold

l

Trade value will have to be around the new price of the amp not the cash price
Only trades considered will be a lull 5 string or an exotic 5 string jazz, not interested in any other amps or cabs

Hi Harry, I've often considered this amp but the price and the inability to demo one has been a big hurdle. How would you describe the power amp reduction thing... is it a fizzy overdrive or can it really emulate the bottley power tube breakup if you know what I mean... cheers Mark

Hi Mark
i was lucky enough to get to try it before i bought one. Great amp, really nice tone, the lows are fat and well rounded and the highs are really clear. The amp is very versatile in the way of getting a variety of traditional ampeg sounds to a very modern tone from it. Mids are great also if you like them. the tube driven power reduction part of it works really well, very old school grind, emulates it really well, and lots of it if you want it, you don't need it on much to get the "tube breakup " sound out of it. I tried it a couple of times with my svt pre but found i didn't need the pre with it at all as the amp did it all.
Hope that helps

cheers

Harry

Great amp I was with Harry when he bought it, this item has a fantastic tone with all the power that one would need.
I have been fortunate to buy & trade with Harry, deal with confidence :)
