See how hi-hats cam from low-boys and snow shoes, toms came from chinese tack drums, bass drum pedals of 1909 (1909!) with a tang sticking out to hit a cymbal at the same time. Even I'm not old enough to have seen these trap kits used. We've come a long way in percussion, thankfully..!
