I have a Peavey TKO 400 watt combo which has been doing me great so far, nice and loud and produces the sounds I like. But as I use it so often for practice and gigs I want to make sure I get as much life out of it as possible and take some pressure of the 1x15 speaker that's built in so I was thinking about getting an extension cab.

I've read up that i need a cab that has a tolerance of no less than 8ohms but im not sure on what cab would be best to get, I read somewhere that another 1x15 is the best option but having no experience I wouldn't know if that's true, also what kind of wattage would I need to be looking at?
