Clarky Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 (edited) I bought my David Gage Realist pickup off the forum a few months back (I recall its a couple of years old but in good condition with all packaging and installation details) but I have decided I prefer the more thumping sound of a BassMax on my Kolstein bass. To optimise the pickup, I bought the matching Realist 'padded' (ie, attenuated) cable from the US for about £35 including import tax [url="http://www.davidgage.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=491"]http://www.davidgage...products_id=491[/url] - this makes the output of the pickup less hot so the Realist can be used with any preamp (eg, Headway; without the cable it distorts easily - discussion here: [url="http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f4/padded-cable-779739/"]http://www.talkbass....d-cable-779739/[/url]) I would like £95 for the pair posted.
