Lighting up the cones!?!

Hi guys,

So a rather worrying and strange thing happened the other day;
I was at band rehearsal and was dicking around with a bit of slappin' & a poppin' and i was looking at my cab as i was getting my funk on then saw that when i popped the rims around my speaker cones lit up! I did it a couple of times just to check i wasn't going mad then stopped. As i play a SVT HLF410 the light was also could be seen through the ports too :-s
So i turned off the amp and checked to make sure there was nothing burning or melting around my head or from the cab.
I turned my head back on and checked i hadn't accidentally over cranked the master volume and then carried on playing, didn't notice it again that night and there was no change to the quality of my sound.
Is this something that i should be very worried about? i.e have i fried anything?

I play an Ampeg svt-4 (mono-bridged) through a Ampeg SVT-4HLF
