I started later in life, but I am really enjoying the journey of discovery. I play an american standard fender jazz 2008, and have a very small home studio (in a previous life I played keyboards/dj/producer). I still haven't persuaded the mrs to allow me to bring an amp into the house yet though. Looking forward to sharing experiences, and learning lots from you more experienced hands out there! As to the amp, you may as well divorce the mrs. right away. I did, and do have an amp now! So all you have to do now is joint the banter, ask questions, and listen carefully to those answers that are given by the people who are not me.
