Pedals on top of power supplies - sensible or stupid?

I'm in one of those situations I'm sure we've all been in, you're on your 2nd pedal board of the year, you've run out of power and there's enough room on your board for one more object, but you'd rather save it for a pedal instead of the new power supply you've had to buy to fuel all your lovely stompboxes, you get me?!

So, as this is my situation right now, I have considered mounting the new power supply on the board and sitting a pedal on top of it, as this particular pedal is behind another and needs some sort of riser to make the switch accessible and I could kill two birds with one Fuel Tank.

However, in doing so, am I inviting horrible noise issues having a digital pedal sat on top of a transformer, should it be fine or should I just shut up, stop asking questions and try it out first?
