Whats the hardest bassline you've ever played?

For me it has been 'Spirit of the Radio' by RUSH, Lots of little triplet runs and other rhythmically tricky bits. I'm not quite there with it yet but it is an awesome track so I'll keep working.

Actually, I started to learn Slam the Clown by Alain Caron earlier this year and I'm nowhere near getting through that track yet. The bassline is really a finger twister for both hands.. Another hard one would be "Got Tuh B" by Tribal Tech which has a great bass line, but haven't tried to play that one so I guess it doesn't count. :-)

That downward progression…
Yeah, I spent so long working on that and eventually found it’s stupidly simple. Like most – I’m guessing – I found my fingers were looking for downward notes when actually you stay where you were. So that climbdown (based on the D string to play the open notes) uses C/B – D – B/Bb – D – Bb/A, that final A being the downbeat to start the next bar, at its octave point on the D string. Your next note is the open A string.

Incidentally, you use the same fingering positions but on the E string for the outro, also for the section (after the bass slide) which goes into the guitar solo.
