Useful for checking for breaks in connectivity or it'll do 'ball park' impedance for resistors (as it's analogue it's not the most exact readout) and the like. [/quote] I'd suggest that if you are unsure how to use it that it is probably a bad idea to try things like that for your safety. Multimeters typically used in smaller applications.
