Ampeg attenuator knob cracked missing

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,
I picked up a bargain the other day an Ampeg SVT III and 410he (both 90's made) for about 450 pounds.
I had a 3-PRO a few years ago (didn't get on with it) and i have a 4-PRO back in Ireland (which I love), but the SVT III is a beast of an amp. So much SVT goodness! The matching cab is also great-never owned a Classic 410he before but always liked them. (had a pair of BSE 410HLFs - they were great!)

Only issue with the rig is that the attenuator knob for switching on or off is missing from the back of the cab. I'd like to be able to switch it on and off depending on what kind of room I'm playing so...

Anyone got any ideas how I can get in there?

Does anyone have a replacement they want rid of?

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys :)

Cheers,
Colin

You usually go in through the front - just unbolt the speaker.
I'd guess that the attenuator itself is still inside the cab somewhere because it'd be too big to find a way out of the cab.
The retaining nut has probably fallen off the outside and allowed the attenuator to fall inwards.
