Laney Nexus Tube 400W

I am selling my Laney nexus tube 400 amp. Got it in a trade last year here on basschat.
Reason for selling is I am going for a preamp/power amp setup, also it's a heavy amp and my back is complaining lately :).

THE AMP WILL NEED A RE-TUBE, hence the price of 550 gbp with a silverstone cover included.

The tubes are working, the amp still plays well and delivers as it should be, although next to each output valve there's a LED which goes on when a tube needs a replacement. I have 3 of those lit (out of 8), which means the amp will soon have to be re-valved.

Basically these amps are beasts, very versatile and powerful.

Edit for trade options:

Trades I might be interested in, with cash adjustments either way:

markbass amp
preamp/power amp set
high quality preamp
lightweight bass cabs - Epi, Aguilar, Bergantino, AccuGroove, try me. 2x10, 2x12, 3x10, 4x10 - not bigger than that.

I am based in West London, viewings are welcome. Collection or I can deliver within 100 miles for the petrol costs.

I looked at this teamcoy, too many tone controls for my tiny mind!!!

Some of those controls shut the others ones off to avoid confusion. Unless you shut all of them off, in which case you get a very confusing no sound at all.

  • 3 weeks later...

Yes, it is still for sale. I think the output valves would cost around £180, although the old ones are still working. Haven't played it for a while, will try it again next week to make sure everything is in order.
