In fact i went from a wooly old ABM307 EVOII head ;-) to a SA450 and LMII and felt it was a good move. I didnt think the tone was drastically different, but the MB heads seem to have a bit more life to them. They were also louder of course. Over the years ive found my MB heads to work well with any bass ive used and ive never had to struggle with volume using just a 2x12 cab.
