An instrument not so well-known (as yet) in the UK: this is a Skjold (pronounced 'schold', I think) Exotic Custom with a body of spalted beech, (front and back), and a seven piece maple and purpleheart laminated neck. The fingerboard is Bocote (an upgrade - even on this Exotic Custom, which is the top of the range) . The electronics / pickups are EMG, and overall it's a great sounding (and looking!) bass with a super light weight (8.2 lbs). 35" scale (with zero-fret), Vol - Pan - Mid with +/- and stacked Bass/treble:-

£ SOLD !!!

No probs - it is pronounced Should, as in shoulder without the "er". This is I believe a 2006 bass and was made as a show piece. I had this for a while on behalf of the previous owner and it always brought a smile to my face when I played it. It has a great slap sound and is generally a very versatile instrument as you would expect. Plus - as is always the case, it is way more beautiful in the flesh than in the photos.

We will not be getting any Skjold 4 bangers in stock for a few months as these are all hand made by Pete himself. So this is a great chance to pick up a rarity and a very good one at that!
