KimKG Posted November 29, 2011 Share Posted November 29, 2011 Hi, I've picked up a second hand MAG300 2x10 Combo (Not EVO). It's got a single fan behind the heatsinks. I was wondering if this fan was temperature controlled or if it was supposed to run as soon as the amp was turned on? I did a forum search and some answers give the impression that it runs as soon as the amp is on but this is not explicitly addressed. KimKG Posted November 29, 2011 Author Share Posted November 29, 2011 Wasn't the fan in the end, I haven't been able to pinpoint the issue but I disconnected the fan and hooked it up to a 9v battery and it worked. Made a makeshift external battery case from Maplins bits and bobs. It'll do the trick for now, messing with the PCB is beyond my knowledge and toolkit.
