Sansamp RPM & power amp - advice?

I've been using this set-up for a while now, and while it sounds great the way I have it set I'm wondering how far up the level of the Sansamp should be to adequately drive the power amp. At the moment I've got the level set at about 2 o'clock and none of the eq levels are extreme, but not long ago I had a speaker expire on me, and I'm wondering whether it was connected to the level of the Sansamp being too high, pushing a clipping signal into the power amp and subsequently the speakers of my cab.

Any advice?

The woofer blew because it was overpowered (or was faulty) - nothing to do with clipping. Clipping on its own doesn't blow drivers, otherwise as soon as you use distortion pedals you'd blow things. If it sounds bad, tweak some knobs until the bad sound goes away, if it doesn't sound bad then don't worry about it.
