Time to stop lurking!

Hi Basschatters
Thought it was about time to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a while whilst I got my funds together to purchase a fine bass, namely the Jaydee Roadie Fretless below! The pics were taken on a phone so not great.
Cheers to Rich for letting his long time friend go, I'll try to do it justice. It's my first fretless so I'll be practising hard to get my intonation right.
To be honest I listen to and play all sorts though I suppose Blues/Rock is my best style. I need to get my backline sorted out and then I'll be on the hunt for a covers type band to relieve the boredom of work! Looking forward to some good times on here.
Cheers
Colin

Craig
I moved from Bisley just before Xmas, lived there for about 3 years on the Flowers estate. I live in Maybury now.

So what's the scene like locally? I've been totally out of it for a while, most of my playing was down in Devon for the 12 or so years I lived down there.
There's a good jam every Thursday at the Cricketers in Westfield if you're interested, it starts about half eight.

I play in the house band and OBBM also comes down, be good to see you.

Craig :)
Oooer, that sounds like a good idea *wrings hands nervously*!

What sort of stuff do you do?
I haven't played properly for about 5 years so I'm a bit rusty to say the least.
Thanks for the welcomes
Colin
Hi Colin,

It's mostly blues and rock numbers, nothing too difficult. Come and have a listen, you can then decide if you want to join in or not.

Look forward too seeing you sometime.

Just got back from the jam and thoroughly enjoyed myself! Cheers to Craig for making me feel welcome and to all the others there thank you too. Played four songs, three I knew one I didn't but wasn't a problem as the guys were very helpful in showing what they were playing. The Jaydee sounded great, just plug in and play...instant sound. Got a lot of comments about it and was happy to extol the virtues of Mr Diggins! It was the first time I had been to an organised pub jam and very well organised it was too, no standing around trying to work out who's next, just a list of names and a guy(whos name I have forgotten already DOH!) calling people up for a couple of songs. Will definitely go again!
