revlac Posted October 13, 2011 Share Posted October 13, 2011 I was hoping to sell my shaftesbury bass, but before I do, I was wondering if somebody could give me a rough price idea, as I know nothing about basses and have never played one. Have owned for 27 years and never played it. In working order I have been told. Heres some photos, any questions, please ask and i'll try to answer. Not so long ago you didn't often see one go for less than £300, but there have been tidy looking examples going in the low 200's on ebay (when they manage to evade the Rickenwaffen!). I might try for £325 to see if anyone bites, but be prepared to drop or hang in there for the long haul. If you're going to ebay it be aware that John Hall is all over 'faker auctions, so any use of the 'R' word or any of it's derivatives massively ups the chances of it being pulled. It's usually good to include a phone number or email and encourage people to use it - that way if the auctions magically disappears you'll have a record of interested parties. It might be worth giving Ash a shout, as he's bought and sold (or at least attempted to ) quite a few.
