The reason is that they're a bit on the light side for me - I just found out that the "mystery" D'Addarios that came with my bass are in fact 50-105 and I really like that gauge. I installed the EBs in January and they've seen two 2-hour rehearsals and a few spots of personal practice; they've just begun to break in a little (some of the brightness has begun to go). They've been cut to my Sterling so the G-string won't fit on a jazz-type headstock now, but perhaps someone out there can use them. Any takers at £5 plus (actual) shipping?
