Found this locally,was tempted then realised i cant properly use my current bass with 2 pickups nevermind eight,also a Gorilla amp with a growl button.

My first amp was a 20w gorilla amp, had the growl knob and a sticker on the top which said "hear this gorilla growl!" along with a picture of the aforementioned primate in a rather agressive mood.

probably worth buying just for the sticker, just as well as it was a rubbish amp. Although it was all i could afford at the time it still made me cringe every time i took it to practice.
Interestingly the guitar versiions had a scream knob and similar sticker.

Your description of the bad mooded monkey knob nearly had me phoning this,but im holding out for an amp with a volume knob that goes all the way......to 11
