DaveMuadDib Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 Hi there everyone, My name is Dave, I'm 22 and I've been playing bass as a primary instrument for just under a year now, after a couple of years of being on the six-stringed darkside. This is my first time here, but it seems like a cool place to talk to fellow bassists, so I thought I'd give it a try! I play a Hohner B2ADB headless active bass through a Laney HCM120B, occasionally with a Little Big Muff Pi when necessary (and I'm proud to use a plectrum most of the time!) My main heroes are Tim Commerford of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, Rex Brown of Pantera, Billy Gould of Faith No More and Eric Wilson of Sublime. I find thrash to be the most fun though, there's especially nothing quite like blasting out a bit of Pantera I'm currently in a band called Snog the Dog, a metal/grunge/blues rock three piece, and I very much love every second of it! Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate my tastes. They're all excellent bands with excellent bass players, so I feel satisfied all round!
