1. For sale is my Ashdown MAG 600 Head, I believe this is the Mark 1 version. This has been a great head with plenty of power but I now have my sights on something new! Details can be found all over about these heads. Any questions please send me a mail. £200
 2. For sale is my Sound City 120 PA mk 4 custom built, 6 channel Tube/Valve Amplifier Head. This amp has not been used for about 6 years but used to be my main bass amp and has a great sound. Plugged in recently and it still works ok. Some channels are better then others but there was sound coming through all. Could use some TLC from someone a little more in the know then me as its been sitting in my spare room under the bed since last use. Has some scuffs on the casing but considering the age this is to be expected. Any questions please drop me a line. £150

 5.
hi mate ive just purchsed one off ebay and had a serious problem with it im running a line6 hd750 amp through it and it sounded like a 10 watt practice amp. i had it cheked over and was told i had a blown speaker......GREAT, so i took the speaker out and noticed a loose conection it now works beautiful im using the 6 ohm version and cant complain i love it it handles the low b i also play in a metal band and it punches through the two deaf gutairists which always seem to increase the volume through out practice.. hope this helps!
Very helpful thanks. Think you might have bought the one I was looking at! good to hear you got it working and it sounds good. Also good to get an opinion from someone else that play's with two deaf guitarists! must be a metal thing :-) How would you describe the sound? I know it's subjective, but I have no chance of trying before I buy.
Any 610 should be pushing enough air to punch through a mix in a live setting.
Thought this might be the case, but I have had problems with cabs in the past (ashdown) that just didn't do the job!
 6. I thinking about buying one of these cabs, does anyone have any experience with them? I play in a Metal band using a Warwick Corvette Std 5 through a TE GP12 SMX preamp and SWR 800 Power amp. Need to know if it will be loud enough, punch through the mix and handle the low B flat (we tune down half a step). Any advice would be great, Thanks.
 7. Very cool! congratulations. I'd love to play that venue!

 10.
Boss CEB-3. But then, I am a Luddite.

Boss CEB-3 you can gig with it, it wont break. like nearly every Boss Bass Pedal I have tried it takes some farting around to get the sound...but I only need it to make one good sound so it's good value. If I need a chorus that has to do 6 different types I would probably have looked elsewhere. but for the outlay it's great value.
+ 1 this is a great pedal and rock solid.
 11. Will this be ok with a 4ohm cab using bridged mode or is it 8ohm only?
 12.
Welcome Aboard, Don't know of any blues-specific tab sites -I use 911 Tabs when I need one. "Need" is the word here I feel... I regard tabs as a "get out of jail card" for when you've got to nail somthing awkward at short notice, or you really can't figure out what is going on. Ears First then tabs if you're stuck. Also, a lot of tabs appear to be written by non-Bassists who seem to have some very odd ideas about fingering. AlsoAlso... Blues is a very flexible genre. It doesn't have that many "set" bass lines, but does have a bucketload of little licks & phrases that you can nail together to join the dots your way. Ears are better for this, trust me. Listen to loads of it, you'll find yourself picking up little bits here & there and your vocabulary will grow.
+ 1 this is very true! I also find Bass Masta is a good tab site if your stuck, but as said you need to listen as well.
