Pre-empting their vintage status a tad

Depends how you look at it. Early G&L models were produced in smaller quantities than pre-CBS Fenders. It's also a "signature" headstock, which weren't in production for long. Guess it all depends on your definition of "vintage".

And suppose the seller is lucky he didn't describe it as "G&L L2000 by Leo Fender", which is exactly what it says on the headstock, as the listing would have been pulled by eBay (c*nts) for "spamming", and he might also have got a nasty little email from Fender (also c*nts).

I have one of the very 1st G&L basses ever produced - waaay before the eye gouger headstock. If I could get over a grand for it I'd be well chuffed... but I can't see it... not yet anyway. :)
