Hardcase Help Required

Hi All,

I'm now the new owner of a Hofner Contemporary Violin Bass :) and am now looking for a hardcase for it -nothing special, but ideally "shaped" and designed for the bass.

The problem I have is that after a lot of searching I have found that there are quite a few different manufacturers and worst of all I've learned that some of the violin basses will not fit properly into some of the hardcases made specifically for them without trimming and fettling of the sponge.

Is there a hardcase specifically for the Contemporary Violin Bass? If any of you guys have the same bass which hardcase are you using?

I'm only looking for a £60ish version and ideally one that is in stock ready to post!!

Any ideas? Any info appreciated.

Doesn't say whether it's in stock, but try this?

Might end up being a little bit closer to £70 though :S

Any other suggestions ?-just in case they're out of stock!![/quote]

Erm, can't really suggest any other hard cases that are specifically moulded for the Hofner that would come in around that price really. If not, try a hiscox. It wont be the EXACT shape of your bass like that other one, but I've had one for jazz/precision basses in the past and they're excellent.
