theforevertest Posted September 2, 2010 Share Posted September 2, 2010 hi all!! just wanted to say hi as I've been watching the forum from afar and also PMing a couple of people regarding basses for sale. i'm looking to upgrade my setup which i have had for a couple of years. been playing a 5-string ibanez sr recently on loan and i've been bitten by the 5 string bug! which helps as i'm a rock/metal bassist!! i currently run a limited edition cort c4 (mahogany body, wenge neck) through som EHX effects (and others) into a hartke ha3000/vx410 rig. it's a cool setup but i need a bit more flexibility from my head and the hartke cab feels like it is made from cardboard! and as i said i want to upgrade to a 5 string. i'd love a warwick corvette (standard or $$) as i've wanted one for about 10 years, once i have one i'll be happy but i also like the sandberg jm5, euro spectors, a stingray 5 possibly, high end ibanez soundgears open to suggestions for similar basses. willing to trade my cort if wanted. got about £800 to spend. anyway i'm sure i'll catch some of you in the for sale and wanted sections. nice to meet you all!! cheers mark Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

theforevertest Posted September 2, 2010 Author Share Posted September 2, 2010 thanks. been a bit tentative about introducing myself as you guys really know your stuff! i'm not all that knowledgable on high end basses or anything, i just love to play, which i guess is the most important thing at the end of the day! i have a couple of bands, one pop/indie covers band Miss Havisham (we do a lot of wedding receptions etc) and one metal covers band The Forever Test (we do a lot of sweaty pub gigs which i much prefer!!). itching to get writing though!
