3. Hi,

it seems to be a "home made project" of Mark Hostler and his dad, this is what i found on http://www.buzzardbass.com/Site/Owners/Owners.htm :

Mark Hostler

Mark and his father built the BEST BUZZARD BASS ON EARTH! Here's what Mark had to say about it...

"Hello there my name is Mark Hostler, and i am a huge fan of John Entwistle. whilst looking for pictures of john i found one on your site of his Status Buzzard Bass, and i was immediately hooked. since then, the buzard shape has been my favorite bass of all time, and your site was the top of my favorites list from then on. a couple of months ago i decided it was time to stop dreaming and take action, and so i drew up plans and began designing my own Buzzard bass. since then, me and my dad (an accomplished carpenter) have been crafting away my dream bass, which i recently completed. i am writing to sincerely thank you as your website was agreat help in its design and construction, and i would very much like to share it with the world. :) attatched are some pictures of my bass, and i was wondering if you could put them on the "proud buzzard owners" page of your website, as i think i may be the proudest of all. i hope it isn't too much trouble yours, Mark Hostler"

You bet I will!!!
(picture's on that site are the same as the one's posted here)

Do you have any soundsample's of the bass by any chance?
I love the look of it,don't have anything to trade at the moment, but might be intrested to buy this as a back-up if the price is right...

4.
Thanks for the kind comments gents, neither of you have an old Dargie lying around or down the back of the settee by any chance? :)

Cheers

Dave
PM'd!

5. Ibanez SR 900 AM

Because i need money to stop another GAS attack,
i would like to sell my mint Ibanez sr 900 am.

It's about 1 year old, mint condition,no scratches or marks anywhere and plays like a dream.
Bartolini mk1 pick up's & Bartolini EQ
String thru,Neck thru ,beautiful amber finish.

I just put some new Ernie ball hybrid slinky's 45-105 strings on it.
The action is super-low! and it's the fastest neck i've played so far.

these are just some pic's i made in a hurry before posting this, but if you are intrested i can send you better pic's! :)
pic's : http://picasaweb.google.be/114784379631091607043/Sr900#

I bought it new for 899Euro and would like to get 350Euro or 340 UK back for it.
I still have the original box + an extra strong bigger protective box that i can put over the original box for extra protection,so it's safe for international shipment.
(the bass is located in Belgium)

because of the bubinga/wenge/maple/rosewood combination the bass has a very deep & warm jazz sound and due to the the bartolini pu's & active EQ you can shape the sound anyway you want to.

A really beautiful bass with an amazing sound!

6. Hi,
i'm Donovan,i'm a young bassplayer living in Belgium.

All day i live ,eat and breath everything that has to do with bass and obviously i've also turned into a serious G.A.S - victim.

Playing mostly metal and oldskool hardrock with a lot of blues and jazz influences,
i've always been playing on Ibanez basses.

main set up: Ibanez SR 900NT -> Tech 21 Sansamp bassdriver -> EBS HD650 -> Eden 115XLT & 2 x 210xst cab

I'm very happy with this set-up but an amp can only sound as good as the bass you plug into it,
and that's where the problem lies...

Since recently i feel that the Ibanez bass just doesn't cut it for me anymore,
i'm exploring a variety of new techniques and style's and the Ibanez just doen't have enough to offer soundwise to fulfill all my needs.

Therefore i've been watching, testing and listening to all kinds of other basses to find what should become my "super-nr.1-bass" for at least the next 10 years...

After checking almost all the big name's on the market i ended up with a Vigier Passion in my hands,
after the slim necks of the ibanez basses most of the other basses i tried felt big, slow and not easy to play due to the thicker/fatter neck-size & string spacing,
but this Vigier was just perfect for my hands and sounded awesome(to bad it wasn't for sale! :) ),
so i've made up my mind i want a vigier!

BUT...

since then i've been looking in Belgium,The Netherlands,Germany & France and have found very few of these basses in good condition,
i found several of these selling for even lees than 1000E,but most of the time they were from the very early series and/or had some serious damage on paint and corners.

I would love to find one of these in a reasonable condition for a reasonable price,

so if anyone could help me find one of these i would be very gratefull !!

You can always mail me at: [email protected]

thanks,
D.
